The document contains an example of calculating a compressed rod for stability: a steel rod of a given length and stiffness is compressed by longitudinal force. One end of the rod is rigidly fixed, the other is free. As a result of the calculation, the critical strength and stability factor of the rod are determined. If the current flexibility of the rod is below the limit, then the Euler formula is not applicable and the Yasinsky formula is automatically used.
